Aven Central

The Aven Central partnership is funded via the government's Single Regeneration Budget (Round 6) and is overseeing the implementation of a £20m regeneration programme in Preston City Centre and surrounding neighbourhoods. The partnership has funded the 'Co-operate and Work Together' project.

The Business Link Lancashire website provides information about local support services and also offers advice and resources for new entrepreneurs and those looking to develop their business. There is also information about training, current legislation and useful events in your area.

Government Office for the North West (GONW)

GONW seeks to join up the work of 10 central government departments across the North West, and to feed back the region's views and unique needs to Whitehall. Its website has a section about sustainable communities. GONW has funded the 'Co-operate and Work Together' project.

Northwest Development Agency (NWDA)

The 'Business Development' section of the NWDA site has a special section for social enterprises, which explains the work that is currently being done in the various parts of the region, and also provides details of the Agency's Sustainability Grant Fund.

Preston City Council

Preston City Council has funded the 'Co-operate and Work Together' project, which is described in our Project Portfolio section. Its website has dedicated sections covering business, communities and the environment.

SELNET

SEL-Net (Social Enterprise - Lancashire Network) is a Lancashire based organisation that was established to support social enterprises within the county. It also organises the SELNET Social Enterprise of the Year Award.
